If there was ever any doubt that Trump would have relished the execution of Mike Pence on January 6, his late-breaking decision to expose lesser nuisances to mortal peril by withdrawing their Secret Service protection resolves it. Though we can parse the deeper meaning of this cavalier action, the simple truth is that Trump has revealed himself to be a Henry VIII conscience in a fat man’s blue suit with absolute legal immunity for any official act of lethal excess.
Think about that. Is this what the Founding Fathers envisioned?
